WSNA ONLINE BLOCK PARTY!
Hey everyone, welcome to the Washington Square Block Party event sign-up page! Although we can’t be together like in past years to celebrate and catch up with our neighbors, the WSNA has put together a weekend full of “FREE” & fun online interactive experiences hosted by the neighbors of Washington Square! We think there is a little something for everyone. So please take a look at the schedule below and sign up! Neighbors can sign up to multiple experiences.
Event Schedule
OCTOBER 17TH
11:00AM – 11:30AM Folk Dance Lesson w/ Rosina Didyk
FAMILY DANCE EXPERIENCE!!
Join dance teaching artist ROSINA DIDYK for a fun dance experience for the whole family. Rosina specializes in traditional dances from around the world and has been teaching dance in southern California schools for thirty years. You can expect to move, laugh, and dance with a partner or small group if dancing with your family, or do all the dances solo. All ages welcome, under five should be accompanied by an adult. Rosina may feature dances from North America, Europe, Asia and Polynesia.
11:30AM: – 12:00pm Kids Open Mic
Does your child have a favorite song they like to play or sing? Do they like to tell funny jokes or a special talent they would like to share? Then this special open mic zoom is just for them! A chance for the kids of Washington Square to hangout and show off their talents.
12:30pm: – 1:30pm Halloween Bingo w/ Laurel Perez
If you love Halloween and a good game of B-I-N-G-O then this online experience has your name written all over it!
Join Fellow neighbor Laurel Perez as she hosts an online afternoon of Halloween Bingo! All those who sign up to play will get their very own Bingo card and candy square markers!
Also, the winner of each Bingo round will receive a carving pumpkin!

3:30pm: – 4:30pm Cooking & Cocktails w/ Alex Arkin & Danny Hartigan
Wrap up the afternoon with an interactive cooking experience featuring fun, food, and laughter! First neighbor Alex Arkin will show us how to make a classic “Gold Rush” cocktail. Followed by neighbor Danny Hartigan, who will share with us how to cook up a d’lox pizza snack , inspired by Urth cafe.
The 1st fifteen people who sign up, will receive a meal kit with food the ingredients and recipe cards to cook with and follow along!

4:45pm – 5:30pm Live Music w/ Cary Belling
For those looking for a little live music, we have just the thing for you. Hudson neighbor and musician Cary Belling will be playing live. Watch from your favorite spot in the house.
OCTOBER 18TH
11:00am – 12:00pm Virtual Pet Parade & Craft w/ Betty Sword
Hey Washington Square animal lovers! Here’s your chance to show off your furry loved ones!
Whether you have a dog, a cat or a tortoise, we want to see your pet! So sign up for this hour of fur flying fun with lot’s of wet noses , read along stories, and an interactive pet inspired clay craft project. Hosted by Betty Sword
*Pet costumes are encouraged but not necessary.

2:00pm – 2:45pm Live Irish Music with Liam Lewis
What better way to sit back, relax and enjoy a fine Sunday afternoon then with live Celtic music! Performed by musician Liam Lewis. Liam also happens to be the nephew of our very own WSNA Co-President Mindy Pfeiffer.
3:00pm – 3:45pm Drawing Lesson w/ Michal Wisniowski
Ready … Get Set … Draw!
Join us as Michal Wisniowski, a contemporary artist who works in both fine arts media, such as painting, as well as digital and commercial media shows us how to channel our creative side to create a one of kind art sketch.
4:00pm – 5:00pm Wine & Chat Social w/ Chinh Sheow & Kenton Haleem
Open your favorite bottle of wine and come hang out on our virtual patio to chat, listen to music and be merry with your neighbors and Washington Square hosts with the most, Chinh Sheow & Kenton Haleem!
*The first 20 people who sign up will receive custom charcuterie boards with an assortment of meats and cheeses! YUM

7:00pm – 8:30pm Haunted Pasadena Virtual Walking Tour
…and last, but certainly not least, we figured why not have this years block party go out with a BOO!
Come virtually walk with us and the Pasadena Walking Tour Company, as we explore the sordid side of the City of Roses.
Wander through the Playhouse District and Old Town Pasadena. Meet the phantoms who haunt its alleys, underground tunnels, corridors, and back rooms. Discover the mysteries and dirty dealings which have peppered Pasadena’s past; all from the comfort of your home. Just don’t turn out the lights!
