WSNA Block Party Is Back Oct 22nd!

Hey Everyone

After a wild two-year break, The Washington Square Block Party will be held on October 22nd, from 3:30- 6:30pm and we want to make sure you know about it!

The WSNA Block Party Committee has been hard at work to make it a fantastic event. We invite you to come join us for a great time!

The Block Party will be held on Saturday, October 22nd from 3:30pm to 6:30pm on Belvidere Blvd.

The event is free to all neighbors of Washington Square. It’s our way of saying thank you for helping our neighborhood be one of the best places to live in Pasadena!

The festivities will open with the Crown City Drum Squad followed by fun activities, including a Halloween cake contest, The Mystery Box Raffle??, grilled food,  games, craft vendors, and music by fellow neighbor Tom Rossi;  But that’s not all!  The Lineage Performing Arts company will also be giving a short dance piece to close out the night!

On top of that, there will be lots of family-friendly games, craft projects for the kids, and a special “Halloween Boo Bingo”.

Cake Decorating Contest

The block party food contest with a twist is also back! This year participants are encouraged to bake, decorate and submit their best Halloween cake. With only one rule that all decorations must be edible! Spider webs are edible right?

Contestants can submit their spooky submissions between 3:30 – 5 pm (contestants must be present at the time of submission). The Winner will be announced shortly after 5:30pm. The winner will win a $75 cash gift card.

But here is the twist!   After the contest, all cakes will be entered into a cake walk where neighbors will have the possibility of winning these hauntingly delicious  Halloween cakes to take home or share!

Potluck & The Grill

As for food, bringing a potluck dish to add to the mix is always encouraged! But there will also be delicious grilled food, a nacho bar, and drinks.  Please see our block party signup genius for needed items and if you are bringing a dish!

Raffle & Craft Vendors

Bring some cash because we will also have craft vendors and a raffle where you can win fun items and the contents of the mystery box. What’s inside? … we’ll never tell! But buy a ticket and maybe you’ll be the lucky winner who gets to find out!
